Excellent hunting on 567 acres located approximately 50 miles northwest of Abilene, Texas in Fisher County. Shinnery oak trees, almost like a large shrub, grow branches almost to the ground and they will grow up to 20 feet tall. They are an excellent source of protein and will produce acorns up to half dollar size. They are some of the best, if not THE BEST, deer habitat in Texas. 150+ class deer that weigh up to 250 plus lbs. are not uncommon. Their genetics are the result of a cross between Canadian, Kansas and South Texas whitetails. The buck to doe ratio is very good. Other game includes: turkey, quail, dove, hogs, and coyotes. The property is approximately 2 miles long and about 1400 yards wide at the widest point. It is surrounded by several thousand acres of very good habitat with little hunting pressure. Deer are constantly passing through and turkeys roost on the east line.
